Carindale Camera Centre was established 30 years ago by a chemist who employed John Symons to
mange it. John eventually purchased the business and through his passion for quality built up a regular and loyal clientelle.
His wife Judy eventually joind him and along with Stephen Flynn the business flourished. Things got tough with the decline
of film and the move to digital when big retail chains moved into the market and offered discount prints as a way of enticing
customers to linger in the stores and invariably end up purchasing other products rather than as a profit centre in it's
own rite. Many customers enticed by discount prints started to drift back as they noticed the quality difference in their
prints. Paul & Kerry Clarke bougt the business in mid 2009 and John and Judy took off on there well earned retirement.
Paul had a background as Sales Manager for Spicers and as Print Manager for
both Sands & McDougall and Corporate Express where thousands of printed items were scoped, procured, stocked and distributed
for major organisations, an exacting and demanding task. As with most retailers, the current finaccial enviroment where people
have less discretionary spending power is extremely challenging however we realise the only way forward is to maintain our
passion for quality and to continually put innovative new products in front of our many loyal customers is the only way forward.
